Stayed in a 4 man apartment room and was great having the en suite and cooking facilities. Four hobs and an oven was great for making food when you didn't want the expense of eating out, although some restaurants were incredibly cheap. It was good having a fridge although it was very small for four people. There was no cleaning of the room during the stay and depending on how messy you or your fellow travelers are, it can potentially get a bit out of hand, as with our case! Good hostel overall.
Very nice place to stay, quiet, with adorable staff. Easy to reach by bus or walking, some parks around, supermarkets close-by. Note: no elevator, no towel provided (it's fine, but still cool to know in advance). One of the bathroom door is kinda see-through, which is fine for couples but a bit awkward for families and friends.
Although you have to take a bus to get to the main part of the city its very easy to use and the woman who works there is so helpful. We had a private room that felt very safe (three doors total that lock to get outside the building) and the facilities were nice and clean. VERY affordable....great for students, especially women who may be nervous about staying in hostels.
We decided with my girlfriend to have a good vacation after the working season of the summer.
Fortunately we got to this place with a sweet woman and his clever child, owner of the place.
They treated us good all the time, the room was awesome.
We've been so good we gave a bottle of wine to them at the end of the vacation.
Near to the buses, and a lot of restsurants i think are bow the best in Prague, for prices and quality of things.the center is totally for turists.
The room was very clean and stayed cool during the hottest days in the last 500 years in Prague (seriously). Could not walk to city centre but easily accessible by a 10 minute bus ride. The shower head was broken in my private room. The wifi was excellent very fast. The gentlemen working at reception was incredibly friendly, helpful and strived to ensure all guests were well informed to make the most of their stay at I'm hostel.
I have stayed in a number of hostels all over the world, and rarely leave reviews. However, I'M hostel is different. I have never felt more welcome in a place. The owners, Ivica and his mother, are a dying breed of selfless, genuine people who went out of their way to make sure we felt at home. Look no further for a clean, well equipped and friendly place to stay in Praha!
Guy who owns the hostel was really nice. Our trains were delayed and so we thought we may miss the latest check in at 00;00 but thankfully he was there to let us in, told us straight away where the good places to go were and didn't worry about charging us til the next morning so he could go to bed. Only thing I'd say is the hostel is a bit far out and there are rules about noise, but the beds/room were great for passing out in after the night out and transport into the centre cheap/easy or a 25 minute walk, would recommend if going with a group of friends or looking for a quiet stay but not the most social hostel for young people. Also GREAT value.
One of the best places that I've ever stayed in Europe! The staff was excellent, the rooms were clean and nice, and the location is close to a bus stop. The man at the front desk was super helpful and gave me medicine and tea while I was sick and even offered to bring me to a hospital! I recommend IM Hostel to everybody and anybody, if you need a quiet, clean place to stay in Prague, and a bit more hotel like, this is for you!
Liked: It is on a quiet street, and a bit out of the way of the busy city center. The family that owned the place is very helpful. There is an amazing restaurant on the street corner a coffee shop almost next door and the bus stop to get straight downtown is just a short black away.
Disliked: There is no real character to this place. Just very simple.
Liked: Although we arrived early in the morning (much earlier than check-in time), we were pleasantly welcomed and given a room as soon as we arrived. Moreover, we got an apartment with a private bathroom, even though we booked a room in the hostel with a shared bathroom. The hostel keepers are very pleasant and willing to help. The rooms were clean, neat and spacious. It's a bit far from the city center, but we enjoyed the walks. We would definitely recommend this place!
Disliked: Unfortunately, it was a bit cold in the apartment, as the outside temperature was rather low and there was no heating. We believe this is not usually an issue, though. There were also some issues with the wifi. The signal was very poor in the apartment, but worked quite well in the reception area.
